( report with another man, James Arbib. Both are technology experts, and if the forecasts in their report are shown to be precise, a huge shift in the way human beings take a trip in cities is already underway.Seba, a Stanford trainer and co-founder of the think tank RethinkX, and Arbib, a tech investor and benefactor, say that personal vehicle ownership in the U.S. will drop 80 percent by the year 2030 and that the common way to get around town will be self-driving electrical cars.Arbib and Seba forecast that the variety of cars on U.S. roads will go from around 247 million in 2020 to around 44 million in 2030. Inning accordance with the experts, 2020 is also the year that worldwide oil demand will peak. They predict the need of 100 million barrels a day in 2020 will fall to 70 million barrels a day by 2030.

The experts also predict that as people are zooming across town in self-driving electrical automobiles, they’ll be doing so while sitting next to complete strangers. This “ride-share” concept is something Uber CEO Travis Kalanick considers to be the future of city transportation.Reporting on the 2 experts ‘new findings, Organisation Expert explained what such a future may look like:

“If the majority of Americans change to self-governing, electric ride-shares, it could greatly impact how the United States cities plan their streets. The report suggests that less cars will drive more miles by 2030, because ride-shares might never ever require to park. When they would drop off guests, they would keep going to select up new travelers, which would open large tracts of land for brand-new usages, like wider sidewalks and more housing, parks, and zones where vehicles are prohibited.”

Seba and Arbib predict that by 2021, using electric ride-shares for transportation will be 4 to 10 times more affordable per mile than purchasing a brand-new car, which could equate to conserving around $5,600 a year per home. That’s the “economics” Seba is talking about. And it is, undoubtedly, intriguing. If the two men are proper, this continuing shift in the world of transportation will have increased Americans’ disposable earnings around $1 trillion by 2030.
